The new and refreshing Havana 40 Powercat has some very noticeable changes than her predecessor the Havana 38. The largest being the lengthening of the Havana 38 to 40 feet. The most noticeable change to the exterior being the new and much larger elliptical shaped aft cabin windows with opening portlight for ventilation. This gives the aft cabins excellent light and a better view of the ocean without feeling claustrophobic.
Another new improvement is the extended hard top which now gives you a better and bigger under cover cockpit area to enjoy entertaining your guests out of the harsh and damaging rays of the sun.
Additional increase in the bridge deck clearance has been added between the bridge deck and water allowing for better handling and faster running in larger seas.
As there is increased hull depth, loads of additional locker and packing space have become available, not to mention the much improved engine access and work space in the engine rooms.
Internally, the most significant change is the option of separate shower stalls, therefore no more wet heads.
General quality and finish is always important to us with special attention to detail both in the interior and exterior.
The standard equipment can be enhanced by a range of quality optional items including generator, air conditioning, watermaker and much more. Email for details.
The Havana 40 Powercat is only available as an Express version and is not available with a flybridge. The Havana 42 would be your choice if you want a fly bridge.
Our powercats have blue water capability, great performance, solid construction, excellent ventilation, high quality equipment, large tank capacities and a hard top bimini, at excellent value.
New Havana 40 Lite (Economy version):
Directed more at the charter market and those wanting to enjoy the size of the Havana 40 internal and external layout, but who do not require all the "bells and whistles". This model is well placed between the Havana 40 Deluxe and our new and much larger Havana 42 Powercat, thus catering for those in the middle.
Finish will be kept simple with durable molded finishes throughout. Certain areas will be the stipple finish or smooth GRP finish with selective wood trimming.
Powered with twin Yanmar 75hp engines and with the basic electronics offered, the boat is fully functional. There are numerous upgrades available to suit your requirements and budget.
Deck layout is the same as the current Havana’s with the most noticeable changes being the interior.
As this boat is between the Havana 40 Deluxe and Havana 42 Powercats, it is currently not going to any shows. We do, however, have one available to view at the Vaal Dam in South Africa. As this boat is owned by one of our clients, appointments will need to be made in advance and at the convenience of the Owner. Email us for the specifications.
